We don’t choose our family but we can choose our friends. To be honest, if I could choose my family, it would be exactly as it is today. As for my sister, she is my best friend as well. We have less than 2 years of age difference, so we were always pretty close even though, aside personality, we are complete opposites. She is the sportive, I am the artist, she never stays in place and is always surrounded by friends, I love working from home and have a lot of time alone with myself, and so on. Well, you see what I mean.
 
She lives in the United States for work for several years now, so we discovered Skype! We can have breakfast together online on Sunday morning or a glass of wine discussing a Friday night. You think we are eccentrics? It’s because you don’t know my little sister! My sister sent me a card for Mother’s Day and I have no child. She was looking for a card for our mother when she fell on one that made her think of me. She bought it and has crossed the parts of the message that refer to mothers to adapt it. The message of this card, basically reminded me that no one expects me to be perfect. No need to say that she made my day. She knows me tooooo well my little sister!
 
Despite the distance that separates us, I know I can always count on her. I do not name her because she works in a very conservative domain, but she was the first to “sacrifice” when I began offering my boudoir photography service and that I needed models willing to let me publish the pictures on my blog.
 
Strangely, I have not photographed my sister very often. I make us some portraits when our father begins to find that his somewhat dated, but that’s about it. Badly shod shoemaker you tell me.

 

 
 
No, my little sister is not perfect. Sometimes, I want to shake her a bit, but I love her exactly as she is and I would not trade her for anything in the world!
